I think you raised some very good points here concerning questions that need to be asked about the false need to replace the gates. I too have not seen anything wrong with them to the extent that they need to be replaced.
However I also believe that suggesting a divde between Edgewater and Warmington may not be a good idea just yet. Certainly if it turns out to be that more people in Warmington are for a guard gate, then a divide might be an option. However, there is a pretty good chance that most people in Warmington are already against a guard gate anyway. I think we just need to wait and see what more of the opinions are before something that drastic takes place. It mignt be counter productive to everyone's best interest (both Edgewater and Warmington) to sever the relationship, and then have to individually pay for the costs of landscaping, management, insurance etc.
